Anything Can Happen Wednesday

I'm really "feeling" the Promotional Frenzy Team as of late, so I decided to do a little series for the next few weeks. On Anything Can Happen Wednesday, I'll be featuring sixteen, yep 16, of our happy team members artwork, treasury style and on Fridays I will be doing a feature of one of our 6 team leaders!

Of course you know I can't do anything without some drama added to it, so I'll be creating mini stories based on the pictures WITH YOUR HELP ^_^!

So here is the first sixteen, starring in
“Yellow Frenzy”

Chapter 1 - Crystal sat on the front porch strumming Billy's old guitar. It gave her comfort to hold a piece of him so close to her heart. That and the old sunflower ring he gave her before they took him away, was all she had left now. Crystal's sister-in-law, Sunny leaned in the doorway, watching the sunset and absently twisting the yellow sapphire pendant around her neck. It pained her to see Crystal pining away for Billy.......

Here's where YOU come in, leave your comments with suggestions of the next lines based on the photos in the treasury. Have fun! I can't wait to see where this story ends up!

  4. Of course, May could not let Billy out do her. She was Crystals younger sister. She had no money, but she got out her tool box and fashioned a beautiful bracelet out of hex nuts! It was truly beautiful and she was very proud of it when she gave it to
Crystal. Crystal put it on and a tear formed in her eye.

  5. Crystal had loved Billy so much. He gave her baubles and necklaces. It was then that Crystal's sister in law had an idea. She had heard about an adorable creature named Parker.............

  12. But in a flash Sunny had a change of heart...hadn't it been the love Billy and Crystal shared that gave her 2 beautiful nieces and a nephew she loves dearly???!!! Even during the continuous football games, constant misdeeds, at least the ones she "imagined" in her head... they had been blessed with these beautiful "gifts". Sara with her strong determination, Billy Jr. with his "mischievous" ways, and little Penelope with her wistful smile. The old grandfather clock struck 12 breaking her thoughts and she rushed....(Next)

  16. .. to the attic, searching for... where did she put it? Ah yes, the little box, hidden beneath layers of dust. And there it was, a old box full of memories, He'd given this to her on their wedding night, a box to store their secrets and share their memories. There it was, a perfectly preserved yellow rose, the one he'd given her on their very first date, the day they fell in love. She closed her eyes to remember more...

  21. Crystal was so lonely without Billy, her heart still heavy with the emptiness that she bear. She decided that it was time to move on with her life since this pining away was destroying the very being of her soul. She put on the new yellow rooster feather dangle earrings that she purchsed from one of her favorite Etsy shops online. Then Called her best friend Nancy to meet her at the local coffee shop where they drank lattes and made plans for the rest of the day to do some well deserved shopping.

  22. Then an owl swooped from the sky and dropped a pendant that glowed a dull yellow onto Crystal's lap.

"Billy has been kidnapped. You must find him!" said the owl.

'Oh how fun, I must be daydreaming because I miss Billy so much,' thought Crystal.

"Wipe that stupid smile off your face and pay attention. Billy is in danger. The pendant will glow brighter as you get closer to him. Do not lose it!" said the owl. "There will be many clues to guide you, including a yellow teardrop fairy, who will appear when you need him the most. Sunny will see him first. That's all I can tell you. Now leave!"

And the owl flew off as fast as it appeared...

  23. "Wow," Crystal thought. "I'm really losing my mind." Billy, Jr ran up to his mother. "Hey, I got those spices you wanted! Can I help make dinner?" Crystal absently took the package from her son, just as Sunny called to him from the kitchen window. "B.J.? I need you to run this new outfit to your Auntie May. It's for the baby. Sara just finished the beanie and it's ready to go!" "Gee, all I ever do, is run errands. It's hard being the man of the house!" Billy kicked at the dirt and then ran off to the kitchen. "Crystal, can you come in for a minute?"

  24. Crystal walked into the kitchen to see Sunny grinning at her. "Notice anything different?" Sunny asked. Crystal looked her up and down. "No, unless you count that yellow teardrop fairy sitting on your shoulder." She replied nonchalantly. "Well...yes...that's what I meant. She left something for you. Something about Billy, Sr." Crystal's eyes widened as she focused on what Sunny was pointing toward. Billy's yellow scarf was folded neatly on the kitchen table. He had been wearing that scarf the day he disappeared. She could still smell his aftershave as she held it close to her face.

  25. The sound of a car pulling up and an excited shout from Sara and Penelope brought Crystal and Sunny running to the front porch. Getting out of car, the likes of which neither woman had ever seen before, was Billy Sr. "Can it be? After all this time?" Crystal and Sunny exchanged looks before running to join the girls hugging Billy and shouting questions at him.

Later that night, after tucking the children into bed. Billy came out to the porch to find Crystal there, nursing a drink and staring off into the distance. Settling down beside her, he pulled the porch swing quilt around them both and let her settle quietly into his arms. "It's good to have you back." Crystal whispered into the night. "Baby, it's good to be back and Crystal, honey...it's gonna get better." He kissed her deeply then and as the stars twinkled brightly in the night sky, he began to tell her the story of where he had been.

    The End

    maybe....
