Anything Can Happen Day!

I am a Great Aunt who happens to be a great-aunt, hee, hee (total pun intended). Here is my brand new (well, okay she's a few days old now) grand niece,
Sabrina Guiliana McQueen
I can't wait to see her again. My mom (new great grandma), older sister (the new grandma) and I keep trying to remind my nephew that he and his fiancee were merely the vessels that brought our little bundle of joy into the world. She totally belongs to us now (can you say "spoiled"?). Sure we'll let them visit, we'll write, send a few pictures, but really I think their job is done here. My daughter (the only girl to be born into our immediate family in the last 21 years) has started buying little matching "big girl/little girl cousin" outfits. She had to reassure my youngest, that he's not being replaced as her bestest youngest brother, but that he now has a new "toy" to play with. I'm afraid....very afraid, lol!

Social Media Thursday

Social Media Icons
Gotta have em, don't we? I mean there have always been icons for things, the "golden arches", the "swoosh", the "big boy" and so on. But in today's media market, it's unheard of not to have these little symbols lurking around your webpage, blog, shop, etc. I've seen them on CNN, CNBC, ESPN, and of course, ETSY. Soon, we'll have another new language, move over text speak, here comes Icon-talk! Yes, I know you noticed the shameless use of AcronymSpeech, but hey, that's from MY era of shortcuts. According to WebDesignLedger.com contributor, Henry Jones,
"The ability to easily bookmark or share content on popular social media platforms is now a must have feature for web sites. It’s also important that this feature isn’t over looked by web site visitors. So it’s always a good idea to use icons when linking to social media sites. They get peoples attention and the logos are immediately recognizable."
(Henry has) "taken the time to round up what I believe are the best free social media icons out there."

This isn't all there is, by no means. This isn't even all the ones, dear Henry gathered up, but I figured you get the picture...I mean, the ICON (bah, dum, dum), by this point. So go on, dress up your sites with pretty little pics (yes, icons) and connect, connect, connect - this word "connect", it's IconSpeak for "talk to via electronic message transmissions". Connect is so much easier, isn't it?

How many little guys trail around your sites or are you feeling a little Icon Envy? No need, just snatch a few freebies and you'll be in Icon Heaven in no time!

Till next we meet

Treasury Story Wednesday

I've been MIA for a few weeks with my treasury stories, but I'm back with a new installment ~ Dreaming of Valentine's Day Presents (Dick and Jane style), so enjoy adding lines for each of this little trinkets of delight!

Page 1: See baby. See baby sleep. Sleep, baby, and dream. Dream, dream, dream. Valentine's Day was so much fun.

Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Today is the last day for my sweet little avatar, Sweetie Pie . She officially goes on break at midnight tonight so that her mischievous little cousin, LuLu (short for Lucky Lucinda) can take over for a bit.

Fun with Music and Video Mondays!

Most of you know that I am a dancer by choice, by nature and by God's path. This week's video is a song by Elton John (one of my favorite artists) and features Complexions Dance Company ~ "Answer In The Sky".

Love the song, love the artists involved, love the whole thing.
